Congratulations to our U13 Girls Rippa Team who were awarded the Overall Global Games Best and Fairest Team at the New Zealand Junior Rugby Festival at the weekend. They had an awesome weekend and played with true Roosters spirit. They enjoyed meeting teams from all over the country and were lucky enough to spend time with Kendra Cocksedge, Steph Te Ohaere-Fox and Renee Woodman-Wickcliffe. Well done Team, Coaches and Supporters.

Parklands Rugby President, Aaron Winder, enjoyed participating in the Tākarokaro programme with CRFU at Parkview Pārua Primary during Term 3. We enjoy regularly connecting with our local schools and encouraging all to have a go.

This year we were excited to introduce a new trophy – The Harcourts Gold Rooster of the Year. Coaches were asked to nominate a player who has demonstrated a great attitude and team spirit throughout the season. These nominations were provided to Jane and Andrew at Harcourts Gold Parklands who had the difficult task of selecting the Rooster of the Year.
We are delighted to congratulate, Teegan Armstrong from Under 9 Orange. Teegan epitomises what it is to be a Parklands Rooster, he is in his first year of tackle, is the smallest player on the field in size but has the biggest heart and best attitude. Teegan runs around with a smile on his face regardless of the situation and he reminds everyone that fun comes first when it comes to Rugby. Teegan is a huge asset to our club and being the inaugural winner of the Harcourts Gold Rooster of the Year is highly deserved. Thank you to Harcourts gold Parklands for supporting this new trophy.
